at the end of a long week, i look back and can't believe all that occurred and the amazing people in my life.

monday darren and i got our engagement pics taken by miyo at busath, who is amazing. she made us laugh and put us right at ease so that it was really fun. here's the link to her website:

momma and i got to spend lots of time together this week planning wedding things and i loved it. it is crazy how in the midst of so much excitement and happiness that i feel homesick already. i have been teased my whole life for my attachment to momma and who can blame me? my mom is the best.

sandy, wendi, tiff, holly and julie threw us our first shower yesterday, and i could kill myself for not taking my camera. the favors, plates, food, napkins, decor, ambiance was amazing. they matched our wedding colors and made it so fun. the amount of work that it took blew me away.

during one of the games holly made, she asked us which celebrity we thought the other looked like...i spaced it yesterday but here is the pic of who i think darren looks like...blue eyes and dimples!

anyways, yesterday was amazing and i feel grateful for the wonderful family and sisters i am marrying in to. really, i am grateful for the man i am marrying. he was so sweet yesterday, he loves and values his sisters and mom. he thanked them yesterday for their generosity and work on our behalf and teared up at the shower, it was the sweetest thing and the best gift of the day.

i got to sleep at our new house last night, it was heaven. i soaked in a bubble bath, tried on some shower gifts, and crawled into bed. i couldn't fall asleep so i watched the snow flurries and thought about how fast the next few weeks will go. we have 4 weeks and 5 days left to go before we are married and miles yet to go. i like it this way.

today was my last day in primary and although i have wanted to be done for a little while, it was bittersweet. lucy and claire sat on my lap in sharing time and i teared up thinking that i won't get to sit with my nieces at church anymore. i love their hugs and kisses and their lust for life. my sunbeam class has grown up and changed so much this year, it has been fun to watch the development of each child.

life happens fast and somewhere in the madness there is peace, love and magic. i find myself counting my blessings tonight and the list is infinite.
