beauty

last night i was walking my naughty 4 legged companions through the star lit golf course. the wind kissed my cheeks as it ran by me and my ears began to itch from numbess. the city lights twinkled as they drew further back into the distance.

all through the day, usually in class while i am trying to stay awake, i dream of this time to walk alone.

when i walk, i pray and think and sing. ocasionally i see another person, an evil old man, in the distance and my heart races. the cold air burns my lungs as i pick up my ugg covered feet and run. within seconds i find that my imagation has yet again won and what i see is a tree or snow bank. i love the thrill and the feel of adrenaline pumping my through my diet coke filled viens.

last night mt olympus looked unreal. it was surrounded by dark clouds and yet the whiteness of the snow gleamed. i couldnt believe i was really standing beneath it. i love the peace i feel when i just stand still and look at what surrounds me everyday.

i often take for granted the beauty surrounding me. sometimes it is forgetting the literal beauty. but i also forget the beauty of people. whether it is a smile on the street or an old grumpy lawyer holding the elevator for me. beauty is everywhere and i intend to see it.

I'm jealous that you get to walk in the golf course. It sounds wonderful. You write so well.
