i love new years. it is one of my favorite holidays. each year i love looking back and then looking forward. i love the idea of goals and of achieving meaningful things each year.
it amazes me how much changes in just a year. last night, as i lay in bed awake, i kept pondering where i was last year and what i wanted in life and where i am now and what i want. i cant say that my life goals have changed much, but i feel different. things change. plans change. people change.
i want so many things this year.
i want to graduate (lots of people go to school for 6 years, they're called doctors)
i want to travel
i want to make happiness a daily decision
i want to find success in work and in school
i want to be a better friend
i want to love more fully
i want to run my first marathon!
I want to buy a road bike
i want to ski with boss at least 4 days a month
i want to read good books and fill my mind with good thoughts
i want to read the book of mormon by my birthday
i want to eat with more purpose
i want to serve better and live more fully
brent peterson, a good friend, creates yearly themes. i loved his for this year.

LOL! I love that line from Tommy Boy. Love that you want to travel - so jealous. Love that you're going to read the BofM before your next b-day. I need to follow your lead...
